New smartphones are released on a near-monthly basis, meaning there are numerous phones to check out if you’re looking to buy a new device. From radical new looks to innovative features, these are the ones we’re keeping an eye on this year.
Vivo X70 Pro
This is a high-end device with a water drop notch and a transparent back. It includes the latest Snapdragon 888+, a new Vivo imaging chip, Zeiss lenses, and gimbal stabilization.
iPhone 13
Apple is expected to reduce the notch on display. Instead, an under-display fingerprint scanner may be added. An upgrade can also be expected in the form of a 48-megapixel camera to support 8K video capture.
Nokia X50
There’s talk of a Nokia 8.3 (or possibly called the Nokia X50) that’s due for launch with five cameras. It could hit the market with a 6.5-inch display and operate on Snapdragon 700 series hardware. We believe it could even feature a 108-megapixel main camera.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
This handset may offer the most bang for your buck. We expect it to emerge as a popular model due to its 6.4-inch display. In addition, its camera system may not be different compared to the Galaxy S21+.
Google Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6
Both models feature a change of direction for the cameras and a brand new processor called Tensor, which is designed to run on Google’s ML (machine learning) models.
Google Pixel Fold
A folding phone, running Android. Something we thought we’d never see. Yet here it is, at the forefront of mobile technology. The release is exciting because the support for folding and larger phones in Android 12 continues to grow. Plus, according to news from Korea, Samsung Display has been roped in to produce a 7.6-inch folding display for Google.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro is a huge smartphone with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display and a battery that’s rated at 7000mAh. Huawei’s new Kirin 9000 processor may power the phone.
Xiaomi 12
The Xiaomi 12 will be the firm’s first flagship device since getting rid of the Mi moniker from its devices. Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon platform will be powering it.
Samsung Galaxy S22 family
This family of smartphones from Samsung is expected to be released in early 2022. We expect the devices will run up to 6.81 inches and come with a beautiful new 108-megapixel main camera and 12x optical zoom.
